Remediation or “fixing” accessibility compliance failures on your website can be a challenge because they usually involve changes at the programming level. Things like online forms, navigation menu behavior or third-party plug-ins almost always require some type of front-end or back-end development work to remediate. And in some cases, it may be impossible to fix if the code is proprietary and you do not have permissions to make changes.
DiscoverA11y offers you three different levels of remediation based upon your project’s needs.
Basic Remediation
These are fixes that do not require a developer and can include but are not limited to: alt text changes, link/iFrame titles, page titles, heading hierarchy, link text fixes, css color changes.
Advanced Remediation
Tab order, skip navigation menu, other menu changes, text resizing functionality, form functionality or aria functionality, mapping functions, button functionality, image editing, anything that requires CMS or deeper level code changes, would be considered “advanced” remediation.
Document Remediation
DiscoverA11y can audit and fix issues related to PDFs, Word docs, Excel docs, and PowerPoint Presentations in most instances. If you just want a list of what’s wrong, no problem. If you want us to find it and fix it, we will also provide you with documentation of the corrections we made.
